Abstract

A simple environmentally friendly method for the cyclization of 2′-amino- and 2′-hydroxy-chalcones under solventless conditions using silica-supported sodium hydrogen sulphate has been reported.Key words: 2′-aminochalcones, 2′-hydroxychalcones, silica gel, sodium hydrogen sulphate, quinolones and flavanones.
