THE OPTIMAL DESIGN OF LEVELLING NETWORKS

Abstract

An investigation into the possibility of using linear programming to design levelling networks been carried out. The method is shown to be practically useful but further research is needed before it can be described as universally applicable. A brief introduction to linear programming is included.
