MRI of Adenomyosis: Changes with Uterine Artery Embolization

Abstract

UAE in patients with pure or dominant adenomyosis results in decreased uterine volume and regions of devascularization. Most patients reported an improvement in clinical symptoms within 3 months after UAE. Some patients reported benefit for at least 1 year; however, the long-term durability of symptomatic relief remains unknown.
