Abstract

A Fermi surface-- Brillouin zone interaction in the indium-rich solid solution of In-Sn and In-Pb systems that is reflected in both lattice parameter and superconducting properties is described. The specific nature of the electronic effect is discussed. The lattice parameter data also lead to a reinterpretation of the existing magnetoacoustic data on the Fermi surface of In. (C.E.S.)
