Novel integrated-magnetic alternatives to conventional DC-to-DC power converter circuits are discussed together with principles behind the integration process, typical electrical waveforms observed within such topologies, and ideal voltage transfer functions that can be achieved. Guidelines in the modeling, analysis, and practical design of these unique converters are also given.
