The syntheses and structures of two polymeric copper(I) complexes of 2-pyrazinecarboxamide, [Cu2(pzca)3](ClO4)2(Me2CO)2 (1) and [Cu(pzca)(Me2CO)0.5](BF4) (2), are reported. The complexes form unusual channel or helical structures based on the hexanuclear circular array of ligand-bridged Cu(I) ions that are of current interest in the design of synthetic, macroporous coordination solids.
