09084. General consensus places respiratory pathways in the high cervical cord in the anterior quadrants. More specific localization has not been agreed upon. Consequently we felt that fm'ther investigation was necessary if any surgically useful information were to be developed. This study then has been designed to: (1) obtain precise anatomical localization of the respiratory pathways in the cervical spinal cord; (~) observe and describe characteristic electrical phenomena occurring in these paths; and (3) correlate this specific information with surgical needs.
