Calculation of Temperature Distributions Within Cable Trench Backfill and the Surrounding Soil

Abstract

A computer program was developed to study the steady-state temperature distribution within the cable trench backfill and the surrounding soil. The calculations within the bounded region were carried out using the finite element procedure with the integral equation (Green's identity) as a constraint.
