Magnetic properties of Nd2(Fe1−x Mnx) 14B, where x equals 0.00, 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, and 0.40, are presented. All of these compounds crystallize in the tetragonal structure, space group P42/mnm. X-ray diffraction experiments in a temperature range from 77 to 800 K have been carried out in order to study the anomalous thermal expansion by measuring the thermal variation of the lattice parameters a and c. The effect of substituting Fe with Mn on the thermal expansion anomalies of Nd2(Fe,Mn)14B is discussed in comparison with that of Nd2(Fe,Al)14B and Nd2(Fe,Co)14B.
