Metabolic syndrome associated with toenail onychomycosis in Taiwanese with diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Higher prevalence rates of onychomycosis were found in men and older DM patients. Metabolic syndrome, obesity, high TG levels, and poor glycemic control were associated with onychomycosis.
