The 2011 Duty-Hour Requirements — A Survey of Residency Program Directors

Abstract

Unlike residents, many residency-program directors approve of the new ACGME duty-hour and supervision requirements. But less than half support restricting senior residents' shifts to 24 hours, and a large majority disapprove of the 16-hour shift limit for interns.
