Syntheses of new interlamellar functionalized montmorillonite palladium(<scp>II</scp>) catalysts: the first example of a truly ‘heterogeneous’ anchored catalyst

A truly ‘heterogeneous’ anchored catalyst has been synthesized for the first time, containing interlamellar anchored PdCl2 in montmorillonite; its activity is consistent for 10 cycles in the hydrogenation of styrene.
