In the article ‘Diversity and population structure of sewage-derived microorganisms in wastewater treatment plant influent’ (Mclellan et al., 2010), with reference to Table 2, we would like to clarify the following points: In column 4, the heading should be as follows: No. of sewage OTUs shared with humans. In column 5, the heading should be as follows: % of sewage tag data set shared with humans. In column 7, the heading should be as follows: % of sewage tag data set shared with surface water.
