Abstract

This textbook is the sixth edition of the deservedly popular Andrews<i>Diseases of the Skin</i>and, as the preface indicates, has been completely revised and rewritten by Anthony N. Domonkos, a longtime associate and colleague of George C. Andrews. The single volume has been increased from 658 to 968 pages and the number of illustrations from 605 to 1,197. Over 250 new dermatologic entities have been added. Domonkos gives full credit for the excellent assistance and help from many colleagues, especially Drs. Braestrup and Walzer. Any objective review attempts to offer constructive criticism, but here it is most difficult, if not impossible. The format is superb; the text simple and easily read; the figures well chosen, clear and accurate. A small error (perhaps) is Figure 10-14 on page 212, which looks more like geographic tongue than psoriasis. Above all, this book is even; each entity receives proper attention with the
