Abstract It is shown that excitation of acoustic surface spin waves is possible for certain intervalls of the parameter A which describes the degree of spin pinning. The resonance absorption obeys the k −1 rule. The first resonance spin‐wave mode, weaker than the next one, is expected to have a surface spin‐wave nature.
