Abstract

Abstract Series of metals are derived by their chemical affinity for sulfur and oxygen and the “degree of virginity.” The series serve to define stable associations of sulfides with metals in native state, with oxides and silicates, as well as distribution of metallic admixtures between sulfides and oxides and silicates in equilibrium therewith.
