Abstract Permeabilities are transfer coefficients in flow of fluids through membranes. In the case of gaseous diffusion there is normally very little, if any, interaction of the permeating components. Thus the separation of gas or vapor mixtures by means of membranes can easily be predicted when appropriate transfer coefficients of the pure components are known. The utility of a comprehensive collection of such permeabilities is therefore self-evident.
