Abstract

Both PA and EH patients had modest and mutually comparable elevation of BNP, which was independently determined by diastolic BP and LVMI. Both subtypes of PA (aldosterone-producing adenoma and bilateral adrenal hyperplasia) had similar effect on BNP production. Specific impact of hyperaldosteronism on BNP was not confirmed.
