In the serum of a multiparous woman lymphocytotoxic antibodies were found which seemed to be directed against a ‘new’ HL‐A antigen; AJ. Population and family studies indicate that the respective genetic determinant might belong to a third sub‐locus wihin the HL‐A chromosomal region.
