Procedures performed by pediatric transport nurses: How “advanced” is the practice?

Abstract

Although they had considerable training for advanced procedures, the transport nurses rarely used these skills. All tracheal intubations performed by transport nurses were successful, and there were no adverse consequences related to intubation by a transport nurse.
