Pharmacokinetic interaction between bosentan and the oral contraceptives norethisterone and ethinyl estradiol

Abstract

Bosentan decreases the AUC of norethisterone and ethinyl estradiol in healthy female subjects. In patients treated with bosentan, reduced efficacy of hormonal contraceptives should be considered.
