Distributed Setup in Optical Networks with Flexible Grid

Abstract

Lightpath setup is presented for distributed flexible-grid optical networks. Detailed and aggregated methods to gather frequency slot availability information are proposed. The aggregated method reduces the amount of control plane information without impacting blocking probability.
