Immobilization of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) has been carried out on electrochemically prepared polyaniline (PANI) films. The results of the photometric and amperometric response measurements conducted on such LDH/PANI electrodes show the response time as 90 s and shelf-life as about two weeks at 4–10 °C indicating that these conducting polymer-enzyme electrodes can be used as a pyruvate sensor.
