Demonstration of Classical Plasma Behavior in a Transverse Magnetic Field

Abstract

Properties of a low- beta plasma streaming transverse to a magnetic field were examined. The motion of the plasma was stopped when its internal field was removed. A eonducting liner was used in the vacuum chamber. (L.N.N.)
