Fatigue testing of denture base polymers

Abstract

Summary Fatigue characteristics should be an important part of assessment of the behaviour of denture base polymers. Only limited studies have been completed to any extent, largely because of the difficulty in designing suitable machinery. A review of the clinical parameters required in such a machine is discussed, and the development of a multi‐station machine is described, with some preliminary results.
