Abstract In this study, Cacetylbiphenyl and 4,4′-diacetylbiphenyI have been synthesized from biphenyl. Their keto oximes and glyoximes derivatives have also been obtained. The metal complexes of the glyoximes such as copper, nickei and cobalt were prepared. The elemental analyses, FT-IR and 'H NMR spectroscopy techniques were used to characterize the oximes and their complexes.
