We demonstrate a novel application of a wavelength‑swept fiber laser to interrogate fiber Bragg grating sensor arrays. The laser delivers >3 mW power with <0.1‑nm spectral resolution over a 28‑nm span, enabling time‑interval counting for strain interrogation. Static–dynamic strain measurements achieved a resolution of 0.47 µm rms at a 250 kHz sampling rate.
