Bismetallocenes: Lanthanoid–Transition‐Metal Bonds through Alkane Elimination

Abstract

The reaction of monohydride complexes of the late transition metals with lanthanoid alkyl derivatives affords heterobimetallic compounds with direct metal–metal bonds. These covalent bonds are strongly polar and can be considered as donor–acceptor bonds.
