Two new alkaloids, have been isolated from the leaves of Buxus papilosa which are the first members of a new group of pentacyclic natural products bearing both a tetrahydro-oxazine ring and a 9(10→19) abeo-diene system. The alkaloids, named "moenjodaramine" and “harappamine”, have been assigned structures ( 1) and ( 2) respectively on the basis of spectroscopic studies.
