TRANSITIONAL‐CELL CARCINOMA OF THE COLON FOLLOWING CYSTECTOMY AND URETERO‐SIGMOIDOSTOMY FOR CARCINOMA OF THE BLADDER

Abstract

SUMMARY A case is reported of transitional‐cell carcinoma of the colon occurring after uretero‐sigmoidostomy and cystectomy for carcinoma of the bladder. The growth in the colon resembled the original bladder tumour in its histology. It occurred at the site of transplantation of the ureIt is believed to be unique. It is considered that it was probably an implantation growth.
