From the galactic distribution of eclipsing binaries, it follows that the angular momenta associated with orbital motion of close binaries are not due to localization of galactic rotation of prestellar media. Hence, we may expect a general random orientation of orbital planes in space, although this expectation may not be true for a single group of stars.
