Prevalence of Increased Esophageal Muscle Thickness in Patients With Esophageal Symptoms

We describe, for the first time, increased muscle thickness in patients with esophageal symptoms and normal manometry. We suggest that increased esophageal muscle thickness is likely to be an important marker of esophageal motor dysfunction.
