Everolimus Interferes With Healing of Experimental Intestinal Anastomoses

Everolimus causes a massive reduction in anastomotic strength such as normally observed in the proliferative phase of repair. The data suggest this to be caused by an impaired deposition of collagen in the anastomotic area.
