This study examined the effect of temazepam and flurazepam on driving performance on the next morning after having taken one of the drugs 12 hours prior to testing. A single night-time dose (15 mg flurazepam or 20 mg temazepam) of both hypnotics caused changes in driving behavior the next morning that increased the chance of a road accident.
