Both the ghost and the response of air‐guns are related to the tow depth(s). This paper analyses the competing issues that must be addressed when trying to improve the low frequency output of air‐gun arrays.Permalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/1.3628192FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByDelaying the source ghost to improve the ultralow-frequency response of a marine air-gun sourceHonglei Shen, Thomas Elboth, Chunhui Tao, Gang Tian, Hanchuang Wang, and Guoyin Zhang18 September 2020 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 85, No. 5On low frequencies emitted by air guns at very shallow depths — An experimental studyDaniel Wehner, Martin Landrø, and Lasse Amundsen8 August 2019 | GEOPHYSICS, Vol. 84, No. 5What controls the initial peak of an air-gun source signature?Leighton M.
