Measurements of acoustic attenuation in silver have been made with 150-233 Mc/sec longitudinal sound waves in magnetic fields up to 15 000 oersteds and at a temperature of 4.2\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K. Plots of the ultrasonic pulse height as a function of the reciprocal of the magnetic field strength show from ten to fifteen maxima and minima for several orientations. Numerical data are presented and discussed in some detail. The Pippard type theoretical model of the silver Fermi surface is compared with our measurements.
