Hyperammonaemia induces hepatic injury with alteration of gene expression profiles

Abstract

This study demonstrates that hyperammonaemia can directly induce hepatic injury via the hepatocyte apoptosis. Gene expression profile may provide the possible explanations and mechanisms for the hepatic injury induced by hyperammonaemia.
