Claustrophobia and premature termination of magnetic resonance imaging examinations

Abstract

Claustrophobic reactions cause a relatively low incidence of ptMRI and are influenced by sex, body part examined, and positioning within the MR scanner. Sedation and prone positioning might help overcome these reactions.
