Abstract

Abstract An expeditious route to a novel 5‐6‐7 tricyclic ring system is described. The chemistry capitalizes on an enantioselective glyoxylate‐ene reaction, enzymatic resolution as well as a [2+2] photocycloaddition‐fragmentation.
