Analysis of magnetization data at 1.3 to 32.5 °K for copper with ≈︁ 110 ppm Fe [3] shows the presence of giant moments, in addition to single Fe and Fe pair moments; it gives no indication of spincompensation or local spin fluctuation. Similar analysis of data at 0.012to 0.4 °K [4] also shows magnetic clusters. The differencesbetween the two sets of data can be rationalized without assuming spin compensation or local spin fluctuation. Each of the copper alloys with 380,478 and 9200 ppm Fe has a magnetization maximum at a temperature increasing with the Fe content. The 9200 ppm Fe alloy is shown to be micto-magnetic.
