High-accuracy measurement of the linewidth ofa Brillouin fibre ring laser

Abstract

A high resolution spectral analysis of the emission of a stimulated Brillouin scattering fibre ring laser has been performed, demonstrating the single frequency operation of such lasers and a 3 Hz emission linewidth.
