A Comparison of Nurse Staffing Requirements for The Care of Morbidly Obese And Non-Obese Patients in The Acute Care Setting

Abstract

Our previous study suggested that the care of the hospitalized morbidly obese patient makes significant resource demands on the nursing staff. This report outlines the results of data collected on the care of hospitalized non-obese patients and compares the resource requirements and safety concerns between the two groups.
