Threshold Representations of Multiple Semiorders

Abstract

Cozzens and Roberts recently proved a variant of the Scott and Suppes representation theorem for semiorders. They treated nested pairs of semiorders, but stated as open the corresponding problem with any number of relations. A solution is described which even alleviates the condition and the proof in the case of two relations. Moreover, representations simultaneously involving constant and nonconstant thresholds are considered.
