Electrical conductivity of a two s-d band alloy model: effect of off-diagonal disorder

Abstract

The authors establish the CPA expression of electrical conductivity of the two s-d hybridized band model of Brouers and Vedyayev (1972) taking into account the effect of d off-diagonal disorder which is described in Shiba's approximation (1971). This model allows the consideration of the electrical conductivity of noble and transition metal alloys which have constituents with different d-bandwidths.
