Equations describing steady state flow between a recharging‐discharging pair of wells in a confined aquifer having a uniform regional flow field have been used to obtain a computer solution for the travel time of fluid along streamlines connecting the two wells. The time required for a contaminant or a tracer material to travel from the recharging well to the discharging well, and the timewise variation in concentration of the contaminant can be read directly from generalized plots of the computer solution.
