The determination of the optical properties of thick magnetic lenses, and the application of these lenses to beta-ray spectrometry

Abstract

An examination is made of the validity of the usual mathematical expressions from which the focusing properties of axially symmetrical magnetic fields are deduced, and conditions are established for good image formation.
