The Reproductive Cycle of the Golden Hamster <i>(Cricetus auratus).</i>

Abstract

Summary. .The Syrian Golden Hamster (Cricetus auratus) will breed freely in captivity. An account is given of its reproductive cycle and of the morphology of the reproductive organs, with particular reference to remarkable cyclic changes in the vaginal epithelium. I wish to express my thanks to Dr. M. Klein, with whom I was able to discuss the mucification of the vaginal epithelium, illustrated by his specially stained slides.
