Radionuclide Demonstration of Traumatic Arterial Iniury

Abstract

Experience with the radionuclide assessment of arterial trauma in six patients is reviewed. Three cases are presented in detail. Vascular obstruction, laceration, and pseudoaneurysm formation were demonstrated using currently available rapid scintiphotographic techniques. It is suggested that such studies be used as the initial procedure in patients with suspected vascular injuries.
