Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 as an Adjunct for Spine Fusion in a Pediatric Population

Abstract

rhBMP-2 is a successful adjunct for fusion in pediatric patients. Many of these patients had congenital defects that historically decrease fusion rates. rhBMP-2 appears safe and has an associated high rate of osseous fusion.
