The effects of supraphysiological doses of corticosteroids in hypotensive liver failure

Abstract

Supraphysiological doses of corticosteroids reduce norepinephrine requirements in hypotensive liver failure. They do not improve survival but may extend time to find a suitable donor in those awaiting urgent liver transplantation.
